blue memory

*Sigh*    No current flowers today, as it is much more wintry outside, with a stiff wind all day. Back to the memory files. This Campanula was growing wild along a rail-turned-trail in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, near the Bois de Boulogne, last summer. Mike and I had a wonderful picnic later that day, while watching a coot family build their nest.

Brrrr! It was definitely much colder today. And it's supposed to be even more so tomorrow. The only good news is from Friday three days over 40 are forecast, with Saturday possibly reaching 50.

You can see the brown tips on my blooming bromeliad here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pitch/5479892948/. I feel like it's the cold, since I've been watering it about 3 times a week and giving it as much sunlight it can get in my north facing apartment, however the only thing that has me unsure is the brown tips showed up after I had it inside for a few days... but maybe a delayed reaction?
